For such small and repeated tasks of transforming values in other formats we used to use Filters in AngularJS version 1, But after Angular 2 we have pipes which serve similar tasks and once defined can be used anywhere in the application.

Ionic 4 | Adding Native Storage in Application Using Cordova SQLite Storage Plugin

In this post, we will add Cordova’s SQLite storage plugin in Ionic version 4 Application. This is the commanly and widely used storage plugin by most of the Ionic developers since version 1 of Ionic. Storage is widely used to store personalized settings by the user in the application which is not required to be stored on server side.

Application developers sometimes need to save a bunch of information on the user side to control some features and provide some offline functionalities to application users, in that case, local storage proves very handy. Using Ionic’s Native storage plugin we can storage key value pairs which may have any type of data from a simple string or integers to JSON objects. But this locally stored data will remain until the application is Uninstalled or device is formatted.

As we have already discussed How to Add Google Maps using JavaScript API in Ionic Applications, in this post we will implement Google Maps Cordova plugin using SDK. In comparison to JavaScript API Native SDK, Google Maps are more fast and efficient in terms of performance in mobile applications. Ionic Native Google Maps have more features which we can implement in a fully featured mobile application with Google Maps like in Native Android or IOS applications. Resolve! plugin_not_installed issue in Ionic 3/4 Applications

A few days back I was facing a strange issue i.e Plugin Not Installed! in of my Ionic 3 Application. The weird thing about this issue was, the application was working fine in development APK and even after creating productions release of APK it was working fine, the issue used to happen when I installed the application from Playstore after release.

Ionic 4 | Add Google Maps JavaScript API, Geolocation and Geocoder in Ionic 4 Native Application

In the previous post, we discussed how to get location coordinates using Geolocation and then converting those coordinates into understandable addresses. But adding a map in a mobile application really adds much value making it more useful and interactive. Google Map API can be used to add fully featured maps anywhere, In this post, we will implement Maps in Ionic 4 Application and also use Geolocation and Geocoder plugin to fetch device location then fetch Address available for those coordinates we get.

Ionic 4 | Add Clipboard Plugin ( Copy and Paste ) Ionic Native 4.x Version

Clipboard is referred to a special memory space provided in the device, specialized to keep last copied data like text, images, files etc. Clipboard is a temporary space which is washed out as user copies new data and replaces existing data.

In the previous post we discuss on the implementation of Clipboard plugin in Ionic version 3, but here we will implement the clipboard plugin in Ionic latest version 4. It is still in beta phase but soon it will be available as stable.

In this tutorial we will implement Clipboard or Copy Paste plugin in Ionic 4 application, using which developer can provide a handy operation to a user for easy copy and paste features on some event like button click as sometimes it takes much time to select text and paste it somewhere by deleting existing and long tap to paste.
