An Ionic framework application makes development very easy and fast for multiple platforms, but sometimes due to performance issues like fluctuation in animations, jerk movements during user interactions calls for some tricky solutions to manage code with better optimizations.
Getting Call logs from a device in the application can be used in a number of ways for genuine purposes like to share invite link or message someone from an application itself.
In Ionic also we can get Call Logs of the device using Cordova and ionic Native plugins. Usage of Call Logs plugin is easy but a little tricky.
In this post, we will add Cordova’s SQLite storage plugin in Ionic version 4 Application. This is the common and widely used storage plugin by most of the Ionic developers since version 1 of Ionic. Storage is widely used to store personalized settings by the user in the application which is not required to be stored on the server side.
Application developers sometimes need to save a bunch of information on the user side to control some features and provide some offline functionalities to application users, in that case, local storage proves very handy. Using Ionic’s Native storage plugin we can storage key value pairs which may have any type of data from a simple string or integers to JSON objects. But this locally stored data will remain until the application is Uninstalled or device is formatted.
A few days back I was facing a strange issue i.e Plugin Not Installed! in of my Ionic 3 Application. The weird thing about this issue was, the application was working fine in development APK and even after creating productions release of APK it was working fine, the issue used to happen when I installed the application from Playstore after release.

Applications these days provide features to get locations like we implemented device location plugin to get location coordinates when a user clicks a button, But what if we want to get location updates after fixed intervals of time. To track location we can’t always keep an application open, In that case, we need to track location when the application is in the background.
In this tutorial, we will create an Ionic 3/4 application to demonstrate How to Add YouTube Video Player. We will Install the Cordova plugin and Ionic Native Wrapper to add functionality in Ionic 3/4 Application by using which YouTube’s Player can be opened to Play any YouTube video right from the Ionic application itself. To play a Video we need to provide the ID of video which we want to play.
Updated for Stable Ionic 4 Release( 22-03-2019 )
Previously we implemented Geolocation and Geocoder plugins in Ionic 3 application, In this post, we will create an application in latest Ionic version 4 beta. Using Geolocation service we can get Lattitude, Longitude, Accuracy of location, Speed, Altitude etc of the device. After that Latitude and Longitude can be used to get Addresses available on these coordinates. To fetch address from coordinates of the device, we use Geocoder service.
